Pricing

How pricing works when you outsource to the Philippines

It’s the first question everyone asks, and most providers answer it with a calculator or a headline percentage. We’d rather explain how the number is actually built: one all-inclusive monthly rate per team member, no upfront fee, no price list — and every reason why.

The model One monthly rate. Everything inside it.

You pay one fixed monthly amount per team member. It covers their salary and everything it takes to engage and support them well in the Philippines. There is no set-up fee, no upfront fee and no separate HR or office charge.

Talent sourcingSourcing, screening and shortlisting run specifically for your role. No placement or upfront fee.
Local engagementYour team member is engaged in the Philippines through BuildNextTeam — contracts, statutory contributions and compliance handled.
PayrollSalary, government-mandated contributions and leave administration, every month, on time.
HR supportDay-to-day people operations, performance conversations and the things a local HR team does.
Office workspaceA seat in a professional office in Bohol — remote from you, not from us — with local support on hand.
Account managementA named BuildNextTeam contact who owns the relationship and keeps things running.

What drives the number

Five things that move the monthly rate

This is why “how much does it cost?” has no single answer — and why a quote built for your role is worth more than any list.

Get a quote for your role
  1. The role and functionA senior software engineer and a first-line support representative sit at very different points on the market. The function sets the range.
  2. Seniority and experienceWithin any role, years of experience, specialist skills and leadership responsibility move the rate up.
  3. Hours and shiftFull alignment to US business hours means a Philippine night shift, which carries a differential. Australian and UK overlaps are gentler on the rate.
  4. Team sizeOne person is priced as one person. As a team grows, the per-seat rate comes down.
  5. Specialised tools or licencesSome roles need paid software — design suites, dialers, enrichment tools. We’ll tell you what applies before you commit.

Market context

What the market charges — from sources that aren’t us

For orientation only. These are published ranges from third-party industry guides, not BuildNextTeam prices, and they blend very different roles and models.

Independent guides published in 2026 put fully-loaded rates for Philippine staff broadly in the region of US$8–18 per hour, or roughly US$1,000–4,000 per month for a full-time role, with the spread driven almost entirely by role and seniority.1, 2 The same guides describe savings of 50–70% against equivalent local hires in the US, Australia and the UK.2, 3

What those ranges hide is the part that matters: a cheap hourly freelancer and a dedicated, office-based employee with local HR are not the same product. Here’s how the models differ.

Compared to the alternatives

Why one monthly rate is simpler than it looks

Freelancer marketplaces

An hourly rate that looks low, plus platform fees, plus the hours you spend hiring, re-hiring and managing across time zones. Nobody handles payroll, HR or compliance, because there isn’t any.

Traditional BPO

Per-seat or per-outcome pricing, often with set-up fees and minimum commitments. You’re buying the provider’s process, run by staff who may be shared.

Your own entity

Salary, plus incorporation, local payroll registration, an office lease, HR, legal and months of set-up before the first hire starts.

Dedicated staffing with BuildNextTeam

One monthly rate that already includes sourcing, payroll, HR, office and account management. You manage the work; the overhead is ours.

Questions about cost

The pricing questions we get asked

Why don’t you publish prices?

Because a single number would mislead you. The honest answer to “how much does it cost to outsource to the Philippines?” is “it depends on the role, the seniority and the hours” — and a price list flattens all of that. A quote takes about two minutes to request and reflects exactly what you need.

Is there a set-up or placement fee?

No. Talent sourcing is included in the monthly rate. We think a placement fee creates the wrong incentive.

Are there hidden costs?

No. Payroll, statutory contributions, HR, office workspace and account management are all inside the one monthly rate. If a role needs paid software, we say so up front.

What if the first person isn’t the right fit?

During selection you keep interviewing until you’re confident — at no extra cost. How ongoing changes are handled is set out plainly in your agreement.

How does the rate compare to hiring locally?

Third-party industry guides consistently report substantial savings versus equivalent hires in the US, Australia or the UK. We don’t quote a headline percentage because it depends entirely on the role; your quote will let you make the comparison yourself.

How do I get a quote?

Tell us the role, the experience level and the hours in the quote form. A person reviews it and comes back with a customised proposal.
